Well, I took a peek under the plastic of the no-till area. Nothing too exciting, and I wasn’t expecting too much change. The weather has been quite cold, which is a definite factor. I will have to run this trial again in the summer somewhere to see how the heat changes things. When I took the pictures and video of the site I could not see much difference in the grass and weeds, but looking at the pictures on the computer I can see the covered grass is a bit lighter. It’ll be neat to see how the rate of decomposition changes as the soil heats up. Here is a little video of the area from today:
